This work, written in question and answer format contains a wealth of first hand experience, La Marche being a well respected female practicing obstetrician as well as one of the foremost teachers of the time. The extensive third section, by Madame Boursier deals with a wide range of problems that can accompany pregnancy and the health of women. It was first issued in 1634 and continued to appeal to women 60 years after it was issued.
