Inscribed by McCuthcheon and dated November 26,1917. In addition, tipped to the endpaper is an ALS, 12/5/1917 from the author's brother responding to a request for an autograph with the information that since Davis' death, all his autograph material is not available, but noting that he is enclosing an Als from the author that had been written a few years before. Tipped to the flyleaf is an ALS from Richard Harding Davis to his brother concerning the performance of Ethel Barrymore in Dick's 'Miss Civilization, signed Richard.
