Hope Montgomery Scott was the glamorous Philadelphia Mainline society woman who was the basis for the Tracy Lord character in "The Philadelphia Story." That play was dedicated to Hope Montgomery Scott and her husband Edgar, who were lifelong friends of Philip and Ellen Barry.
