Taylor (1787-1865) was an artist, author and inventor, the oldest surviving son of the artist of the same name. He joined the research staff of The Eclectic Review in 1818 and he published a new translation of Characters of Theophrastus with his own woodcuts. His Fanaticism was issued in London in 1833.
